Pupil Premium
Report for use of the Pupil Premium at The Flying Bull Academy
At The Flying Bull Academy, we aim to ensure;
- that teaching and learning opportunities meet the needs of all of our pupils.
- that appropriate provision is made for pupils who belong to vulnerable groups. Termly Pupil Progress meetings enable the identification of underachieving pupils and planning to address their needs.
The Pupil Premium is funding provided to schools which is in addition to main school funding. It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their individual responsibility.
Pupil Premium funding will be allocated following a needs analysis which will identify priority year groups, vulnerable groups or individuals, therefore not all children receiving free school meals will be in receipt of pupil premium interventions at one time.In making provision for underachieving pupils, we recognise that not all pupils who receive free school meals will be underachieving. We also recognise that not all pupils who are underachieving are registered or qualify for free school meals. We reserve the right to allocate the Pupil Premium funding to support any pupil or groups of pupils the school has legitimately identified as underachieving.
