We have all had the most wonderful day celebrating World Book Day today. We began with parents and carers joining us for ERIC (Everyone Reading In Class), then had an assembly where 6C shared their very own music video and the children had to guess the identity of the masked readers. There were a huge variety of brilliant reading activities which the children took part in throughout the day such as; creating an advert for a favourite book, creating an illustration using paint and designing their favourite book as a comic. We invited parents and carers back in for our 'booknic', where the children could settle on a picnic blanket with their grown-up and enjoy a story read by different adults from around the school. At 2:30, the children were very excited to see their guest reader come to share their favourite book with them. 

Unfortunately due to production issues, we were unable to send children home with their very own World Book Day Book this year. However, we have sent the tokens home with the children. Click here to find where you can spend your voucher. Be quick, as these do expire on Sunday 26th March 2023.
