Attendance is looking good
Attendance Blog – 27/02/2017
Welcome back to the 2nd half of the Spring term, and attendance is looking good!
Attendance for the whole academy is currently at 96.7%. This is a massive increase on last year’s 95.2% for the same period. Our academy attendance target this year is a minimum of 96.2%.
Our fantastic start to 2017 continues!
In the week before half term, attendance for the whole academy was 96.9%. We also had 9 classes with an attendance above our minimum academy target. We had 1 class with the highest attendance this week. Therefore, the winners of the attendance cup were 1R with 99.3%. Sharing 2nd spot this week were 6G, 3N and 4T with 98.8%, well done!
This continued growth in attendance has only been achieved because of the hard work, effort and support from all of our pupils, parents and carers. Thank you.
Attendance Station
Remember, your children must be in school on time to get their attendance points! When children are at school every day and they are on time, they earn attendance points. These points are then used to purchase the rewards your child(ren) likes from the Attendance Station.
Reminder – The government consider every child below 90.0% attendance (red category) to be persistently absent. The Parents/Carers of these children may find themselves being issued with PNW (penalty notice warning) and may face legal proceedings from the Local Authority.
